If you needed an upper in your day, look no further than the Hideo Kojima Lego figurine you never knew you needed in your set.

The world of Lego is ever expanding, and that means adding in new Lego figurines to an already massive collection. Just about every pop culture icon has a figurine made in their image and everyone from athletes to television characters have joined the party.

Now we can include world famous video game creators to that list.

Hideo Kojima, who is best known for creating the Metal Gear Solid video game franchise, is now among those famous people with a Lego figurine made after them.

The game creator tweeted out the awesome news this week to his followers:

Maybe the best part about this story is the reminder of just how well respected Kojima remains. He created Metal Gear back in 1987 but hit the big time when Sony Playstation released a reboot of the game in 1998, the infamous Metal Gear Solid. From there, Kojima has become a great influencer and artist in the video game community and is still highly regarded 20 years later.

All he did was tweet at the Warner Bros Twitter account about how much he liked the Lego Batman  Movie, and suddenly he had a figurine made in his likeness. That’s one way to do better than a simple retweet, and it forces us all to step out game up on social media.

Then again, none of us are legends like Kojima. The power he still possesses so many years after he broke into the mainstream of a business that still isn’t totally mainstream, is something we should all look upon with awe.
