4. The Belko Experiment
You wouldn’t necessarily think a red-band trailer for a film described as a cross between Office Space and Battle Royale would be a good Lego adaptation, but you would be wrong. Somehow, this nuts, head-exploding, murderous lock-down jaunt is extremely entertaining in Lego form. In fact, you might be set just watching this – it’s absolutely going to be less stomach-churning than the actual feature.
In what may be the most exceptionally niche Easter egg of all time, Michael Rooker, seen in The Belko Experiment trailer as a maintenance worker with a blow torch, is portrayed by a blue minifig. This could be reference to the fact if you Google Rooker, you immediately see photos of him as the blue Yondu Udonta in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. If that’s not the reason, it could be literally anything.
Speaking of which…
3. Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2
Of course, the sequel to the super successful Guardians of the Galaxy got a Lego trailer, too. In fact, the GOTG 2 Lego trailer even caught the eye and was subsequently shared by the good folks at Lego themselves. And understandably so, it’s very fun and full of delightful detail. Though as cute as the Groot minifig is, we can’t help but we reminded of this extraordinary Groot build.
