11. LEGO Dimensions Goonies Level Pack – 118 pieces
Every 1980s child will recognize the pieces in this LEGO Dimensions set inspired by Steven Spielberg’s classic film, The Goonies. The only disappointment about the set is its small size – only 118 pieces – but its economy is due to its function as a set for the LEGO Dimensions video game. The round stands beneath the Sloth minifigure, One-Eyed Willy’s Pirate Ship and the Skeleton Organ are the pieces’ connections to the Dimensions toy pad, which along with its game disc is compatible with several different consoles (including Playstation and XBOX). By setting The Goonies Level Pack pieces on the toy pad, you can play with these pieces within the video game alongside characters from other entertainment franchises.
If physical play is more your speed, you can rearrange the pieces of One-Eyed Willy’s Pirate Ship into the Fanged Fortune and the Inferno Cannon. Similarly, you can change the design of the Skeleton Organ to look like the Skeleton Jukebox or the Skele-Turkey. Again, this set is not as fun as a regular LEGO set, but its compatibility with LEGO Dimensions game opens up playing possibilities to whole new worlds.
The Goonies Level Pack costs $29.99 on the official LEGO store. A LEGO Dimensions starter pack, which includes the game disc and a toy pad, ranges in price from around $30-$50 depending on which console you are buying it for.
