24. The Disney Castle – 4,080 pieces

There’s the LEGO Cinderella’s castle which contains 646 pieces and is sold in stores for about $100.

And then there’s THE LEGO CINDERELLA’S CASTLE: a set containing over 4000 pieces and towering to a height of 29 inches, with a width of 18.8 inches and a depth of 12 inches (in case you weren’t counting on that last one, that’s one whole foot!). Officially dubbed “The Disney Castle,” this whopper of a set costs $349.99 at the official LEGO online store. But there’s a reason for the price difference between this castle and the one I mentioned first at the outset. This is the real deal, not a stylized (albeit cheaper) castle painted in kidlike colors. The Disney Castle is so-called because its design is inspired by the edifice that is the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World in Florida. The details of the set, from the colors of the exterior bricks to the spires to the four stories of magical scenes in the interior, are lifelike and beautiful. In the interest of telling magical Disney-themed stories, the set comes with 5 classic Disney characters as minifigures: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Tinker Bell. To complete the dream, scatter tiny treasures such as books and Mickey’s sorcerer’s cap around the castle.

Not to make a pun, but The Disney Castle is truly a magical set. It is worth every penny.
