David Beckham continues to be the Father of the Year, staying up all night to build his 6-year old daughter a Lego castle.
Lego and David Beckham, together at last.
When I woke up this morning, the idea of writing a post on a Lego site about world class football legend David Beckham wasn’t something that seemed realistic. Sports and Lego crossover from time to time, but it’s usually people reconstructing stadiums or playing out classic moments with Lego.
But David Beckham isn’t here for your sports crossover; he’s here for his 6-year old daughter Harper.
The former football star posted a Lego creation on Instagram that he built for his daughter, and he stayed up all night long to do it. According to the caption, Beckham was up until 1 am building a castle set for his daughter — and like everything he does it looks perfect.
Take a look for yourself, it’s masterful:
Over the years, Beckham has made no secret about how much he loves his kids. From trolling Brooklyn and playing the role of “uncool dad” (as if David Beckham could ever be anything but cool), to things like this. As much pride as he took in his football career, Beckham is transferring that love to showing off for his children.
Also, if this isn’t definitive proof that Lego is loved by everyone then we will never ever find said proof. David Beckham stayed up until 1 am to build a Lego castle. That’s really all you need to know. No context, no exposition — David freaking Beckham burned the midnight oil to complete a Lego castle set.
Never let anyone judge your love of Lego again.
