11. BB-8

Okay, I know that BB-8 isn’t especially wowing regarding everything you can do with Legos and Star Wars. He’s relatively small and easy to make. But stay with me on this. We’re doing the 25 coolest creations ever. And isn’t the fact that BB-8 is so small and adorable and easy for everyone to make cool in and of itself?

There are different variations of the BB-8s, of course. There are the small ones that are easy to make, there are life sized ones, like the one above. Think about all of the detail and time that had to go into making this! I look at it and don’t even know where the builder would have begun! And to me, that makes it one of the coolest creations. Anything that takes rectangular blocks and makes two large balls on top of one another is amazing.

The other great thing about the BB-8 is that it is easy to make. You don’t necessarily have to be a Lego wiz to make one. Right here, we have a smaller one that was made by hand. Is it as impressive? Absolutely! Anything someone made by hand is impressive! (Especially because it still surprises me that people can do that.)
