LEGO announces a new contest that challenges people to create new products using existing products in a 3-in-1 product competition.

LEGO is back with a brand new contest and this one is the kind of contest that many people can contribute to. The idea comes from the LEGO Ideas Twitter account and it seems the inspiration has come from people, who simply want to do more with their LEGO creations.

The new competition encourages people to think outside the box. It’s time to make the boring LEGO sets a bit more encouraging, creative, and fun. Fans must build an add-on to any 2018 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 product.

To compete in this contest, you must own any 2018 Creator 3-in-1 project. After you’ve done building it, you must come up with an add-on idea that can elevate the product. An example below is a yellow bus with four legs. Very futuristic and robotic.

The submissions are open until December 4, so if you don’t have a 2018 3-in-1 creator set, it’s not too late. Simply pick up a set and get creative. As of this writing, you have 22 days left of the competition.

The judging phase starts on December 4 and runs until December 11. Then, the winner is announced on December 18, which is just in time for Christmas. We think this contest is perfect for Lego fans, as they can work to create some amazing products using existing ideas. It’s like the perfect reconstruction of something that already works and then making it better.

Prime example above – who wouldn’t want a yellow bus with four legs? We are just saying – we think you should submit your work to this contest. Who knows what could happen if you won?

What would you create? Are you going to enter the competition?
