Could plastic waste be used to create LEGO as an environmental effort?
By Mary Jane
LEGO is made of plastic and there seems to be a huge problem with plastic in the environment. Could LEGO offer a major solution to a huge problem?
It’s no secret that LEGO is made out of plastic. And there seems to be a huge problem with plastic waste in the world. Water bottles have been a huge problem for years, especially in the oceans around the world. However, plastic LEGOs have never really been the topic of discussion and there have not been any petitions to get the company to change the ways in regards to production.
However, it sounds like some people are thinking outside the box when it comes to production. One person suggested on Twitter that LEGO should consider using the plastic waste in their production to be a solution to the world’s problem.
It’s no secret that the world needs a solution given the issues with climate change and the company may be considering changing their ways of creating their products to assist with the plastic problem in the world. At present time, it seems to be an idea only.
Fans of LEGO may be more than eager to help out with climate change and work with the company to fix some major issues, including plastic waste. But it’s possible that the company will need more time to come up with a sustainable solution if they do choose to move forward with this kind of initiative. It’s clear that something needs to be done, but it’s questionable whether this company should be the only one responding to the effort with a change in production.
What do you think of the suggestion for LEGO to work with plastic waste to create their future products and sets for the world?
